About

Hi, I’m Chloë Robinson. I’ve been a physiotherapist for over 12 years, and most of that time has been spent doing what I love most – helping children. Over the years I’ve supported little ones with all sorts of needs, from developmental delays and congenital conditions to musculoskeletal and neurological challenges. My goal has always been the same: to help children thrive and give families practical, down-to-earth support that really makes a difference.

I’m also a mum of three, so I know first-hand the ups and downs of parenthood. That perspective means I don’t just bring clinical knowledge – I bring empathy, understanding, and plenty of real-life experience too.

I created these online courses because I wanted to make physiotherapy guidance easy for parents to access at home. Gross motor milestones – like rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking – are so important. They’re not just about movement; they’re the stepping stones that help babies explore, connect, and discover the world around them. By supporting these early skills, we’re giving babies the best possible start in building strength, confidence, and independence.

We hear it all the time: “My baby isn’t crawling yet - should I be worried?” or “They crawl differently than...

Why Is My Baby Struggling To Sit?
At Ribble Valley Children’s Physio, one of the most common questions we’re asked is about sitting milestones . Sitting might look like a simple skill, but it actually requires a lot of strength, balance, and coordination. It’s also a milestone that can cause worry. Many parents ask, “Is my baby sitting on time?”  or “Why can't my baby balance in sitting?”  The reassuring news is that there’s a huge range of what’s normal , and we’re here to help you understand what to expect, what’s nothing...

What Is DMI Therapy and How Does It Work?
You may have heard about DMI therapy through social media or another parent but still feel unsure about what it involves. DMI stands for Dynamic Movement Intervention. It is a hands-on therapy used to support babies and children with motor delays, focusing on building strength, coordination, and balance. At Ribble Valley Children’s Physiotherapy in Skipton, our approach to DMI is child-centred and movement-driven. Sessions involve the therapist gently guiding your child through specific...
