OUR STORY

Ribble Valley Children's Physiotherapy was created to improve access to treatment for children and their parents in the local area. Since then, we've been providing babies, children and adolescents with a wide range of physiotherapy services that are always tailored to their own individual needs and circumstances.

The NHS is a fantastic service and one that our nation is incredibly proud of, and rightly so. However, they are unfortunately faced with regular capacity constraints and demand surplus. Having worked in the public sector, we'd recognised the difficulties that came with the long waiting lists, the potential hardships obtaining a referral from the GP and the limited time that could be made available to each patient in their physiotherapy appointments within the constraints of a publicly administered service. Parents often went away with more questions, and with the knowledge that their child could benefit from more treatment than time or resources have allowed. We established RVCP so that we could offer a service to parents that was specifically tailored to their children, giving them great results at a pace and frequency that suits them and, above all else, providing valuable peace of mind. We wanted to make a difference!

Taking the time to build a relationship with a child not only enables us to learn more about them, but also allows us to establish a safe, fun and positive environment, leading to more productive treatment sessions. We're also in a fortunate position where we are able to go above and beyond minimum treatment guidelines, use the most cutting edge equipment and really set our sights on maximum function, increased independence and best possible quality of life.

Most importantly, we make our treatment sessions an enjoyable experience for both child and parent alike. So come and join the fun!

CHLOE ROBINSON, BSC MCSP APCP

Paediatric Physiotherapist

Chloë graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. Since graduation, she has spent 8 years in the NHS working across Paediatrics, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Critical Care, Medicals and Community Integrated Therapy departments. She also worked as a physiotherapist for Henshaws charity for young people with sight loss and other disabilities. Through this vast clinical exposure, she has obtained and developed a wealth of physiotherapy knowledge.

As well as being a Paediatric Physiotherapist, Chloë is also a mother of two. It was the love of her two children that inspired Chloë to become a Paediatric Physiotherapist as she was immersed in the magic and endless possibilities that children bring to the world; and if she could bring some extra magic to the worlds of children in need of a little more physical help, and give them a better quality of life... what better job is there?!

Chloë has a clear DBS certificate and is Paediatric First Aid trained. She is also a member of the following professional organisations: HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) and APCP (Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists).
