THERAPY ADVICE
-
Before commencing a class with Ribble Valley Children's Physiotherapy, check with your doctor if you have any concerns about you or your baby's health.
-
When practicing certain positions or helping your baby/child achieve certain skills, ensure you listen to your body's feedback regarding your limitations - do not continue anything that causes you or your baby pain or harm.
-
Try not to compare you baby/child with others - Physiotherapy is about working with their strengths and weaknesses and helping them be the best they can be. We celebrate individuality!
-
If you or your baby are unwell, please do not attend the class to protect your classmates.
-
When practicing with your baby/child you must never force anything or try to rush - if it feels stressful for you or your baby is not enjoying it, take a break and come back to it later.
-
Do not practice on your baby/child if they are ill - this includes if they are limp, pale, have a high temperature or are having breathing difficulties. Always seek appropriate medical attention if they present with any of the above.
-
Where possible try to feed your baby/child at least 30 minutes before their class as to avoid any reflux or discomfort.
-
You are fully responsible for both yours and your baby/child's health and actions during and after any physiotherapy led classes.
